Shaun Brown is a freelance audio engineer based in the Southeastern United States and a graduate of the Commercial Music and Audio Production program at Western Carolina University.

Specializing in live sound production, Shaun has built a diverse portfolio across the marching arts, live events, broadcast, recording, and corporate audiovisual environments. He currently serves as Lead Audio Engineer for Civitas Independent and the Enka High School Marching Band. He is also a member of the audio teams for Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps and Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, two of the nation’s premier drum corps organizations. In addition, Shaun works as a broadcast audio engineer for Community Bible Church.

Alongside his work in the performing arts, Shaun has gained experience in the corporate AV industry, supporting conferences, meetings, and large-scale events that require reliable audio systems, RF coordination, and networked audio infrastructure. He also designs and optimizes audio systems for a variety of professional environments, from stadium venues and athletic facilities to theaters, concert halls, and houses of worship. His background in both live entertainment and corporate environments allows him to adapt quickly to a variety of production settings while maintaining a strong focus on professionalism, client experience, and technical excellence.

As the founder of Shaun Brown Audio LLC, Shaun is passionate about helping under-resourced music programs achieve professional-level audio production. By combining industry expertise, system design knowledge, and extensive professional connections, he works to make high-quality audio solutions more accessible and affordable for schools, colleges, and performing arts organizations throughout the Southeast.

His experience spans live sound reinforcement, RF coordination, audio system design, system tuning and optimization, Dante networking, recording, broadcast audio, and corporate AV production, allowing him to deliver reliable and scalable solutions across a wide range of technical environments.

Outside of work, Shaun enjoys spending time outdoors, golfing in the mountains of Western North Carolina, and visiting family in Myrtle Beach.
